God’s name, “I AM”

God revealed Himself as “I AM” through the burning bush to Moses. Besides John 1:1, this is the greatest revelation to Whom God is before the expounds of Christ. Moses had asked the Father, “who shall I say that you are?” and the Father could only theologically reply “I AM”.

Why?

It is because God has no contingency. He is Himself, not a cluster of components that creates a whole. He simply IS.

Fighting Words

How often do you find yourself stirred up in a confrontation that has escalated well beyond what it deserves. Heated arguments over who decides what to eat for dinner? Or maybe what movie should be watched. A lot of times people find themselves more angry for the sake of being angry then angry for whatever the disagreement was about to begin with.

Many people, probably everyone, have what are called fighting words. These are words that, when spoken, escalate a temperament much faster than usual. You have to be on the look out for these words, while trying to identify fighting words for other people so that you can avoid using them.
